Duty to God and man
Story
175 kms and ~2000 metres of altitude climb on a single day push bike ride is not easy and quite tough, however the intent of suicide prevention and its awareness to the community help me realise that there are others out there who are doing it tougher!
Dear all,
Through your kind generosity, I have well achieved my fundraising target of 2,000.00 AUD and has raised 2,408.00 AUD for the benefit of Lifeline Australia.
I have been training last 6 weeks, one day each weekend waking up about 4 or 5 in the morning and go for a 100kms+ ride with a minimum of 1300m of climb. This was to better prepare myself leading to the big ride on Sunday 21 October in the Southern highlands. I will be thinking all of your kindest support as well as those who suffer from depression, as I tackle each sections of climb in the 175kms bike ride.
I have also been logging my training rides and I intend to also live-cast the actual bike ride (175kms) on the 21 Oct through Strava and here is the link for it -
https://www.strava.com/athletes/2002268
Live-cast will track where I am and will live-update my distance travelled and time spent on the push bike.
Once again, thank you all for all your support and please spread the words and create awareness about depression and may God bless you all.
kindest regards,
Franciscuss
